Head coach Angie Hind said, "I am really proud of our team and how we responded from being a goal down early. I thought we should great belief and patience to find a way back in the game and equalize. "

ODU (12-4-1, 6-1-1 C-USA) scored the game-winning goal in the 58th minute of play. Carla Morich would get on the ball for a corner kick, finding Yuliia Khrystiuk outside the 18-yard box with enough time and space to send a shot into the upper corner of the goal

Middle Tennessee (9-8-2, 5-3-0 C-USA) took the lead early in the game. Peyton DePriest was awarded a penalty kick in the fourth minute of the game putting Middle Tennessee up 1-0.

The Monarchs were able to find the net to equalize before halftime. Morich took a corner in the 28th minute of the game finding Emily Roberts head in the 18-yard box. Ece Turkoglu picked up the scraps at the back post, finishing in the lower left corner of the net.

"I'm so proud of the team effort and how much we worked for each other and I thought we were deserving of the second goal, and what a goal it was from Yuliia. Delighted with the win and the performance overall," said Hind.
