NORFOLK, Va. -- When Kevin Beazley's hand was raised in triumph last Friday night after topping Iowa's Cash Wilcke, 7-6, in the All-American round of the 2017 NCAA DI Wrestling Championships in St. Louis, the Old Dominion wrestling program extended its streak of producing at least one All-American finish to four consecutive seasons.

NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion wrestling signees George Walton (Somerset, N.J./Bound Brook) and Mason Wohltman (Orlando, Fla./Lake Highland Prep) captured state titles over the weekend, as Walton won his first New Jersey state title at 182 lbs. while Wohltman captured his third Florida 1A state crown at 138 lbs.

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Jack Dechow scored a takedown in sudden victory to defeat Northern Iowa's top-seeded Drew Foster, 5-3 OT, to claim his third MAC Championship crown Sunday at Northern Iowa's McLeod Center. Kevin Beazley, Alex Madrigal and Michael Hayes also earned automatic bids to the 2017 NCAA DI Wrestling Championships to be held March 16-18 in St. Louis.

DOVER, Del. -- Old Dominion freshman Luke Drugac battled to a runner-up finish at 165 lbs. at the 2017 National Collegiate Open held at Dover High School in Dover, Delaware on Sunday. Fellow Monarchs Terrell Forbes and Abner Romero also registered top-six finishes, placing fifth and sixth at 174, respectively.
