Lacrosse Drops 19-15 Contest to CMU
Women's Lacrosse 04/20/2018

NORFOLK, Va. The Old Dominion lacrosse (5-10, 2-2 ASUN) team fell to CMU (10-5, 4-0 SoCon) by a 19-15 final score on Friday afternoon at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex. Glory Johnson and Brooke Stein both net four goals each.

Lacrosse Set to Host CMU, Detroit

NORFOLK, Va. The Old Dominion (5-9, 2-2 ASUN) lacrosse team hosts CMU (9-5, 4-0 SoCon) on Friday, April 20 and Detroit (8-6, 3-1 SoCon) on Sunday, April 22. The Monarchs close out their regular season with a three-game home stand.

KENNESAW, Ga. The Old Dominion (5-9, 2-2 ASUN) lacrosse team fell to Kennesaw State (5-9, 1-1 ASUN) by a 15-6 score on Sunday afternoon. Glory Johnson found the back of the net twice; this is her second straight game with two or more goals.

Johnson Lifts ODU over Mercer in Non-Conference Thriller, 12-11

MACON, Ga. Glory Johnson's goal with less then two minutes left to play in the second half lifted the lacrosse Monarchs (5-8, 2-1 ASUN) over Mercer (5-8, 2-2 SoCon) on the road Friday afternoon by a 12-11 final score. The contest was a rematch of the 2017 ASUN semifinal, where Mercer defeated ODU.

286 Student-Athletes Earn C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll Recognition

NORFOLK, Va. - A total of 286 student athletes from all of Old Dominion University's athletic teams, the highest number of any league member, have earned recognition to the Commissioner's Honor Roll during the 2017-18 academic year, Commissioner Judy MacLeod announced today. Student-athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. This is the fourth year in a row that ODU placed the highest number of total athletes on the honor roll. In all, 2,824 total student-athletes were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll from the 14 C-USA member institutions.

Monarchs Face Mercer (Fri.) and Kennesaw State (Sun.) on the Road

MACON, Ga. The Old Dominion (4-8, 2-1 ASUN) lacrosse team travels to Georgia to face Mercer (5-7, 2-2 SoCon) on April 13 and Kennesaw State (4-8, 0-0 ASUN) on April 15. Both games will have live video.

Monarchs Outlast Stetson in ASUN Battle, 12-11

NORFOLK, Va. A key save in the final seconds by goalkeeper Lauren Ey helped the Monarchs (4-8, 2-1 ASUN) hold off Stetson (2-10, 0-2 ASUN) by a 12-11 score on Sunday afternoon. Four goals by Cydney Tutchton led the offensive unit.

NORFOLK, Va. The Old Dominion (3-8, 1-1 ASUN) lacrosse team fell to Jacksonville (8-3, 1-0 ASUN) at home on Friday afternoon by a 21-12 score. Glory Johnson tallied a career-high five goals in the ASUN matchup.

The Old Dominion (3-7, 1-0 ASUN) lacrosse team hosts a pair of ASUN games this weekend in Jacksonville (7-3, 0-0 ASUN) on Friday, April 6 at 4 p.m. and Stetson (2-8, 0-0 ASUN) on Sunday, April 8 at 12 p.m. The lacrosse Monarchs are coming off a two-game win streak against ASUN and SoCon opponents in Howard and Delaware State.
