No. 53 nationally ranked Adam Moundir, a junior on the Old Dominion men's tennis team, fell in the First Round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament to the No. 2 seed and No. 6 nationally ranked Nuno Borges of Mississippi State by a 6-3, 7-5 score on Wednesday afternoon at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on the campus of the University of Georgia.

Sam Perelman of the Old Dominion men's tennis team has been appointed as a member of the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Each NCAA Division I conference has one representative on the national committee.

NCAA TOURNAMENT BOUND: Moundir Receives Bid to the Big Dance

Adam Moundir (Luzern, Switzerland) of the Old Dominion men's tennis team received a bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships on Wednesday night. Moundir becomes the first ODU male tennis player to receive a bid to the NCAA Tournament since 2009, when Alex Seleznev accomplished the feat.

Tennis Monarchs Garner Six All-Conference Awards

Adam Moundir was named the Outstanding Singles Player of the Championship, Moundir and Javier Jover Maestre claimed the Outstanding Doubles Team of the Championship, while ODU placed Moundir and Michael Weindl on the All-Conference USA Singles First Team, Jover Maestre on the Singles Second Team, as well as Moundir/Jover Maestre on the All C-USA Doubles First Team.

Moundir Repeats as Conference USA Player of the Year

Adam Moundir (Luzern, Switzerland) of the Old Dominion men's tennis team was named the Conference USA Player of the Year for the second consecutive season on Wednesday afternoon, as voted on by the league's head coaches. Moundir becomes the first student-athlete to repeat as the conference's top player since Arnau Brugues of Tulsa did it in 2006-2009.
