"I was glad to see our response in doubles today," said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. "We came out with more energy and executed better. I was very proud of our January newcomers Nicola and Federico in closing out the doubles point. They had match point on serve at 5:4, but got broken and didn't allow that to throw them off. They broke back right away and served it out at 6:5."
"We talked a lot about character in the fall and leading up to this match and we showed it today," said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. "After a very poor doubles point, the guys came out focused in singles and bounced back. It's not easy to win in straight sets on five courts against a good team. We have a lot of respect for Temple, they have a deep line up from 1-6 and competed very hard. I'm very glad our young guys got their first dual match experience under the belt, which will help us for a long season."
