Kijametovic and Musitelli are currently ranked No. 26 by the ITA for doubles and earned the Conference USA automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Doubles Tournament. The duo compiled an overall 23-8 record for the season and went 12-3 in dual matches in the No. 1 slot. They had wins over six currently ranked doubles teams. Kijametovic and Musitelli qualified for the ITA Fall Nationals and advanced to the semifinals. This tandem also earned First Team All-Conference USA accolades a season ago.

"All that we accomplished in the past three years could not have been done without Sergey's hard work and determination for ODU athletics," explained ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. "He embraced being a Monarch and puts it on display every single day. He is doing a fantastic job with our players on courts and is one of the best assistant coaches in the country. We are blessed to have him at ODU and hope to keep him around for much longer. It's a well-deserved recognition for his work over the last three years and another milestone for our program."
Three Old Dominion men's tennis players earned Conference USA postseason accolades on Tuesday morning, as voted on by league head coaches and announced by C-USA officials. The Tennis Monarchs enter next week's Conference USA Tournament (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) winners of five of their last seven matches. The C-USA Tournament bracket will be released on Monday.

The good news is that the season is not over, we can finish out the regular season with a win tomorrow and fly to the conference tournament with a win."
The Old Dominion men's tennis team (11-8) will host Drake (16-13) on Saturday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m. Saturday will mark Senior Day for ODU's Justin Herrera, Aziz Kijametovic and Samuel Perelman. Saturday will also mark the last home match for Volunteer Assistant Coach John Brinkman. Fans are encouraged to arrive to the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center at 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday for the Senior Day ceremony.
