Kijametovic and Musitelli are currently ranked No. 26 by the ITA for doubles and earned the Conference USA automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Doubles Tournament. The duo compiled an overall 23-8 record for the season and went 12-3 in dual matches in the No. 1 slot. They had wins over six currently ranked doubles teams. Kijametovic and Musitelli qualified for the ITA Fall Nationals and advanced to the semifinals. This tandem also earned First Team All-Conference USA accolades a season ago.

Aziz Kijametovic (Zivinice, Bosnia & Herzegovina) and Francois Musitelli (Dijon, France) of the ODU men's tennis team will take on the No. 2 seeded and nationally ranked tandem Maxime Cressy/Keegan Smith of UCLA on Tuesday, May 21 in the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Doubles Championships.

"All that we accomplished in the past three years could not have been done without Sergey's hard work and determination for ODU athletics," explained ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. "He embraced being a Monarch and puts it on display every single day. He is doing a fantastic job with our players on courts and is one of the best assistant coaches in the country. Three Old Dominion men's tennis players earned Conference USA postseason accolades on Tuesday morning, as voted on by league head coaches and announced by C-USA officials. Aziz Kijametovic and Francois Musitelli were named to the First Team for singles, as well as doubles; while Jannik Giesse was placed on the Second Team for singles.

The No. 2 seed Old Dominion tennis team (13-10) fell to host Middle Tennessee (17-11) by a 4-1 score on Saturday afternoon in the Semifinals of the 2019 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Men's Tennis Championship at the Adams Tennis Complex in front of 237 fans. The match was pushed back two hours from the original start time due to inclement weather.

"What an amazing Senior Day atmosphere first of all," said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. "Monarch fans packed the Folkes Stevens Tennis Center and made it a special day to remember. Unfortunately, the result wasn't what we hoped for, but that's what you get when you play top teams every single time. I'm sorry for the seniors today, but thankful for all they have given to ODU and this program. They have been superstars on and off the courts and we will miss them. The good news is that the season is not over, we can finish out the regular season with a win tomorrow and fly to the conference tournament with a win."

The Old Dominion men's tennis team (11-8) will host Drake (16-13) on Saturday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m. Saturday will mark Senior Day for ODU's Justin Herrera, Aziz Kijametovic and Samuel Perelman. Saturday will also mark the last home match for Volunteer Assistant Coach John Brinkman. Fans are encouraged to arrive to the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center at 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday for the Senior Day ceremony.
