Old Dominion University and Chartway Federal Credit Union have signed a 10-year branding and sponsorship agreement for the 8,400-seat arena in the Ted Constant Convocation Center complex.
Former Old Dominion men's basketball player, Jay Rountree, was recently inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. Rountree was joined by fellow ODU teammates Dave Twardzik, Tim Sweeney, Curtis Cole, Thomas Keeling and Leon Hylton at the induction ceremony.
Game matchups for the third annual Cayman Islands Classic were announced Wednesday by Caymax Sports LTD. In the first game of the evening session at 5:00 p.m. ET Old Dominion will play George Mason. The full bracket is attached.
NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men's basketball head coach Jeff Jones announced the addition of 6-10 Dimitrios Karaiskos from Greece to the Monarch roster for the 2019-20 season.
"Chris is a great example of starting at the bottom and working his way up," said Jones. "His work ethic is incredible. He is extremely well-liked and respected by staff members and student-athletes alike. His ability to teach on the court will be a great addition to our program. His humble down-to-earth personality will enable him to establish strong relationships with recruits and their parents."
The Old Dominion men's basketball team will participate in the third annual Cayman Islands Classic sponsored by Caymax Sports Ltd. on Nov. 25-27 of 2019 at the John Gray Gymnasium in Georgetown, Grand Cayman.
Old Dominion men's basketball head coach Jeff Jones announced the addition of Malik Curry and Jaylin Hunter to the 2019-20 roster. Curry, a 6-0 guard from Wilmington, Del. is a JUCO transfer with two years of eligibility remaining; while Hunter, a 6-2 guard from Manchester, Conn., will be an incoming freshman.

NORFOLK, Va. – B.J. Stith (Lawrenceville, Va.) of the Old Dominion men's basketball team was named to the 2018-19 VaSID All-State First Team, while teammate Ahmad Caver (Atlanta, Ga.) landed on the Second Team. Stith and Caver served as senior co-captains for the Monarchs this past season. ODU was tied with Virginia Tech for the second most players on the All-State First and Second Teams.
Jones is signed through the 2023-2024 season, and said his play is to fulfill that contract.
Jones' 122-49 record over the last 5 years is 19th among the nation's 353 Division I schools
B.J. Stith of the Old Dominion men's basketball team was named an AP All-American Honorable Mention honoree. Stith becomes the program's first Honorable Mention All-American since Frank Hassell in 2011.
