FRISCO, Texas Old Dominion University Football Head Coach Bobby Wilder and student-athletes Isaiah Harper and Oshane Ximines travel to Frisco, Texas, to participate in Conference USA Media Day on Thursday, July 19. Thursday morning the student-athletes and coaches meet with TV and print media for interviews, while also participating in C-USA's ESPN3 live stream. Wilder, Harper and Ximines will be live on the stream at 11:15 a.m. ET.

NORTHBROOK, Ill. - Old Dominion University senior defensive end Oshane Ximines is ODU's nominee for the 2018 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. Ximines started all 12 games last year at defensive end, breaking his own school record with 8.5 sacks. He finished the year with career highs in tackles with 44, 14 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles.

IRVING, TEXAS Old Dominion University football registered three players on the 2018 All-Conference USA preseason squad, C-USA announced on Monday. Defensive end Oshane Ximines, kick returner Isaiah Harper and punt returner Darrell Brown earned the honors. Ximines set an ODU single-season record last season with 8.5 sacks and led the team with 14 tackles for loss. He is second among active FBS players in career sacks with 21. Harper was the 2017 Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Year, returning three kickoffs for touchdowns and finished 10th in FBS in kickoff return average at 29.1. Brown led C-USA with an 8.4-yard average on punt returns last season, including a long return of 31. All three players earned first-team All-C-USA accolades last season.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. Old Dominion University senior defensive end Oshane Ximines was named to the 2018 Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List on Monday. The Bednarik Award is given to the Defensive Player of the Year. A native of Ahoskie, North Carolina, Ximines is second among active FBS players with 21 career sacks, including an ODU single-season record of 8.5 in 2017. Last season as a junior, Ximines had 44 tackles and led the team with 8.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss, while adding four forced fumbles, three pass breakups and seven quarterback hurries. He earned first-team All-Conference USA honors, as well as CoSIDA Academic All-District and Conference USA All-Academic team. Ximines has started 36 of 37 possible games at defensive end, totaling 118 tackles, 33 tackles for loss and seven forced fumbles, which is tied for the ODU career record. Ximines is one of three players from Conference USA on the watch list, including Azeez Al-Shaair from Florida Atlantic and Jaylon Ferguson from Louisiana Tech.

NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University men's basketball head coach Jeff Jones announced the addition of Dajour Dickens to the Monarch roster on Friday. The 7-0, 220 pound Dickens transfers to ODU from Providence College where he averaged two points and one rebound in three games before a back injury ended his season. Dickens starred at Bethel High School in Hampton, Virginia. He averaged 20 points and 15 rebounds per game as a senior in 2017 and was named Bruins' team MVP in both 2016 and 2017. He earned offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Texas and others out of high school. Dickens played AAU basketball in the Boo Williams program and was the #5 rated prospect in the state according to ESPN. "We have known Dajour for years and are extremely pleased he is coming home," Jones said. "In addition to be an outstanding rim protector, Dajour is a skilled big man with a soft shooting touch." He joins a recruiting class that includes 7-1 grad transfer Elbert Robinson from LSU, and incoming freshmen 6-8 Joe Reece, 6-8 Kalu Ezikpe and 6-3 Jason Wade. "Old Dominion just felt right. I'm very comfortable with the players and coaching staff," Dickens said. "I can't wait to get to work and help ODU win a Conference USA Championship." Dickens will join a Monarch squad that returns two starters (Ahmad Caver and B.J. Stith) from a team that went 25-7 in 2017-18.
