NORFOLK, Va. – Francois Musitelli of the Old Dominion men's tennis team was named the Conference USA Athlete of the Week, as announced by league officials on Wednesday.
NORFOLK, Va. – Adam Moundir of the Old Dominion men's tennis team was named to the C-USA InTouch Credit Union All-Academic Team on Tuesday, as announced by conference officials.
In the regular season finale, the No. 34 nationally ranked Old Dominion men's tennis team (16-6) took down William & Mary (10-9) by a 4-3 score on Sunday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. After dropping the doubles point, the Monarchs clinched the victory with a 4-1 score, but continued to play out the two remaining singles matches.
The No. 34 nationally ranked Old Dominion men's tennis team (15-6) will host William & Mary (10-8) on Sunday, April 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center for the regular season finale. This will be the last home match for five Monarch seniors, who will be honored before the match. Fans are asked to arrive by 12:35 p.m. on Sunday for the Senior Day festivities.
NORFOLK, Va. - A total of 286 student athletes from all of Old Dominion University's athletic teams, the highest number of any league member, have earned recognition to the Commissioner's Honor Roll during the 2017-18 academic year, Commissioner Judy MacLeod announced today. Student-athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. This is the fourth year in a row that ODU placed the highest number of total athletes on the honor roll. In all, 2,824 total student-athletes were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll from the 14 C-USA member institutions.
The No. 36 nationally ranked Old Dominion men's tennis team (15-6) defeated Drake (12-13) by a 4-3 score on Saturday at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center. Saturday marked the regular season road finale for ODU.
DES MOINES, Iowa – The No. 36 nationally ranked Old Dominion men's tennis team (14-6) will face off against Drake (12-12) on Saturday, April 7 at 12:00 p.m. EST at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center. This will be the last regular season road match of the year for ODU.
The Tennis Monarchs have claimed victory in eight of their last nine matches, while outscoring their opponents 36-11 during that stretch. ODU is also riding a six-match win-streak in which the Monarchs have outscored their opponents 26-6.
