Ragean Hill was hired as Associate Athletic Director, overseeing ODU's Student-Athlete Academic Services unit, in November of 2015.
Hill comes to Old Dominion from the University of the Arkansas, where she served as the Director of Academics since May of 2013.
At Arkansas, she served on the Leadership Team for the Office of Student-Athlete Services and developed and oversaw the Hogs In Transition program for all incoming freshmen and transfers. She also served on the Diversity Council and assisted with the facility plans for a new 24 million dollar facility for Student-Athlete Success.
Prior to Arkansas, Hill served as an Assistant Director for Student Support Programs and Program Director for Football Academic Services at Kansas State University from 2007-13. She also worked as an Academic Advisor and a Director of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Wisconsin from 2006-07 and as an Academic Counselor and Coordinator of Multicultural Programs at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2004-06.
Over the course of her career, Hill has been a participant in several intercollegiate seminars including the Big 12 Diversity Seminar in 2010 and the NCAA Rules Seminar in 2008 and 2009. She is also a current member of the National Association for Collegiate Women in Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) and the National Association of Academics Advisors for Athletics (N4A).
Hill earned her Bachelor’s Degree in 2002 from Kansas State University, where she also earned a Master’s in Adult, Occupational & Continuing Education in 2004.
