Former Old Dominion pitcher Adam Wisniewski joined the Monarch coaching staff prior to the 2018 season as the Director Of Baseball Operations.

Prior to joining ODU, Wisniewski served as the head coach and organization manager for the Old Dominion Hitters showcase program from 2012 to 2017. Wisniewski, who graduated from Granby High School, also served as an assistant at Maury High School from 2012 to 2015. In addition, he also created Adam Wisniewski Baseball LLC in January of 2017, which is a baseball training and instruction service to athletes of all ages.

Wisniewski, a Norfolk native, pitched for the Monarchs during the 2010 and 2011 seasons after transferring from Louisburg College. In 2011, Wisniewski set what is still the ODU single-season record for saves with 15 and was named to the All-CAA team. Following his collegiate career, Wisniewski pitched professionally for the Evansville Otters of the Frontier Independent League. In 2012, Wisniewski also served as the Undergraduate Student Assistant for Old Dominion.

Wisniewski graduated from Old Dominion in May of 2012 with degree in Sport Management and a minor in Business Management.
