Nathan Miker is in his third year working at Old Dominion University where he serves primarily as the assistant athlete trainer for football and oversees the men's and women's golf teams.
Prior to working at ODU, Miker spent 2008 as the assistant athletic trainer at Georgia Southern University working football, swimming & diving, cheer & dance. He also served as an ACI for the GSU undergraduate and graduate programs.
Miker spent the 2006-2007 season with the Cleveland Browns working on his year internship. Assisting the medical staff with daily duties and rehabilitation procedures. He also assisted as the Browns summer intern for three years while working on his Bachelor degree.
Miker obtained his Master of Science in Education from Virginia Tech. While studying at Tech, he served as the head athletic trainer for women's softball and assistant with the Hokie football team. During his time at Tech, he was in charge of rehabilitation for athletes, organizing travel plans for the football team and helping with organizing travel equipment for road trips.
As an alumni from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio, he graduated with a Bachelor degree in Athletic Training with a minor in exercises science and health. He also was a member of the MUC varsity soccer team playing as a midfielder for three years.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, he now finds himself settled in Chesapeake, Virginia planning to be married in the summer of 2011.
