Marshall Leads 2-1

> ODU fell in its C-USA opener last week to Florida Atlantic, 58-28, while Marshall won at Charlotte, 14-3.

> Old Dominion Head Coach Bobby Wilder is 69-33 all-time.

> Junior running back Jeremy Cox carried 22 times for a career-best 202 yards and two touchdowns against FAU. He had a career-long 75-yard touchdown run and a three-yard TD run, his first two TD’s of the season. Cox’s 202 yards was the sixth most in a game in ODU history.

> Senior Melvin Vaughn saw his first action of the 2017 season against FAU and made a fast impression, catching a 12-yard touchdown pass on his first reception of the year. He finished the day with three catches for 54-yards.

> For the second-straight game, Isaiah Harper led ODU with four receptions, adding 31-yards.

> For the third-straight game Denzel Williams led the defense in tackles, notching a career-best 13 tackles against FAU.

Denzel Williams Breaks Out
Sophomore safety Denzel Williams has started the last three games and has become a tackling machine. Williams has managed double-digit tackles in those three games. He recorded a career-best 13 stops last week against FAU. Williams leads the Monarchs with 44 tackles on the year.

Cox Breaks Out
Junior running back Jeremy Cox had been dealing with a hip injury the first few weeks of the season, but following the bye he had a career day with 202 rushing yards against FAU. He had a pair of touchdowns, his first two of the season, including a career-long 75-yard TD run.
