Old Dominion Defeats Campbell University 1-0 in Overtime in Preseason Men's Soccer Action

Fayetteville, N.C. - The Old Dominion men's soccer team defeated Campbell University 1-0 in overtime on Saturday in it's first preseason game of the year.

Junior midfielder Michael Tooley (Richmond, VA) scored the lone goal of the game just after the seventh minute of overtime. Junior forward Attila Vendegh (Bratislava, Slovakia) was credited with the assist for the Monarchs, who allowed only four shots in the game while firing 18 of their own.

Senior goalie Samuel Cameron (Raleigh, NC) made two saves on the night while ODU's defense controlled Campbell's offensive attack. Campbell's Billy Englishby and William Holland combined to make 10 saves before Tooley's gamewinner.

Old Dominion will host Navy next Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in it's last preseason warmup before beginning the year at home against Va. Tech on Friday, May 30.
