"I choose ODU because of the area, the outstanding golf facility and the strong tournament schedule they play as well as current Monarchs and fellow natives from Great Britain Tom Wilde (Bucks, England) and James Brockington (Oxfordshire, England)."

"David is another wonderful golfer from Bucks, England. He has won his county championship with is equivalent to our state titles for the past three years. He graduated last year and is taking this year off to devote himself totally to his golf game." He already is playing at a very high level and will only continue to get better before coming to ODU next August." - Murray Rudisill.

Thomas Henderson had top 15 finishes in two FCWT tournaments this fall, and one top five in the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour while attending Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy. From 2009-11 he attended St. John's High School in Shrewsbury, MASS where he helped lead the team to a 51-3-3 record winning two district titles and one state Championship. Henderson was the district medalist as a junior and finished sixth in the State Championships. He was a three-time Central Massachusetts All-Star.

"I chose to attend ODU because of the area, weather, the facilities, coach Rudisill and I am good friends with current ODU golfers, sophomore Jamison Randall from Cumberland, RI, and Seth Sweet."

Henderson is the son of Karen and William Henderson and is considering majoring in sports management/ business.

"Thomas is the third New England golfer that we have signed in the past two years. He has an excellent record in the junior and high school tournaments in the northeast as well as having played in a number of national events. He is already a very skilled golfer, but will only get better after spending a year at the prestigious golf academy and competing in various tournaments in Florida during the year." - Murray Rudisill.
