Lady Monarchs Second After First Round at Campbell

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - With Samantha Morrell and Kimberley Bradbury in the top ten the ODU Lady Monarchs are in second place after one round at the Fighting Camel Classic intercollegiate women's golf tournament at Keith Hills Country Club.
Play was suspended due to rain after approximately 27 holes were completed Monday. The final 27 holes will resume with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start Tuesday.
Morrell is tied for third with a 74, three-over-par just two strokes behind Kaylin YHost of Campbell (72) and Teresa Urquizu of Campbell with a 73. She is tied with Gretchen Huhnerkoch of Witchita State and Johanne Svendsen of Campbell.
Bradbury tied for eighth at 76 and Kristen Hagan shot 79 to tie for 20th.
The field includes 47th-ranked Illinois from the Big Ten Conference as well as Big East member Georgetown, plus Delaware, Old Dominion and Towson of the Colonial Athletic Association. Live scoring is available on-line at www.Golfstat.com.
