ARLINGTON, Va. (October 19, 2010) - Every Colonial Athletic Association men's and women's basketball game is included in the most comprehensive broadcast package ever offered by the CAA and its member schools, it was announced during the conference's Media Day festivities on Tuesday at Champps-Pentagon Row in Arlington, Va.

As of press time, CAA teams are scheduled to receive more than 125 television exposures through the various ESPN platforms and with long-time partners Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network. CAA fans will also be provided with internet broadcasts of over 300 additional games, allowing the opportunity to view CAA basketball almost daily via multiple mediums. Additional games will be added to the television schedule prior to the start of the regular season.

"The commitment made by our great television partners - Comcast SportsNet, The Comcast Network, CSS and ESPN - allows the conference to showcase its teams to millions of households on a weekly basis," said CAA Commissioner Tom Yeager. "Our member schools have also greatly enhanced their internet broadcast packages, giving fans the opportunity to watch every conference game."

The syndicated package on the Comcast family of networks features 32 men's games on the Comcast SportsNets (CSN Mid-Atlantic, CSN Philadelphia, CSN New England), CSS and The Comcast Network, providing tremendous exposure in many of the nation's largest media markets. The Comcast Network and CSS will once again televise the quarterfinals and semifinals of the CAA Men's Basketball Championship.

"We are excited to provide our viewers with another season of CAA Basketball," said Mike Sheehey, senior vice president of sports content for Comcast Sports Group. "This deal continues to allow fans across Comcast's family of sports networks to watch some of the best college basketball in the land."

The men's basketball broadcast schedule features 42 exposures for CAA teams on the various ESPN platforms, including up to nine regular-season games and the CAA Championship game on ESPN/ESPN2, 11 games on ESPNU and five syndicated games on ESPN Regional Television. That number will likely rise as all 12 CAA teams are once again participating in BracketBusters on February 18-20, 2011, which has provided the conference with five nationally televised contests in each of the past two years.

The women's basketball composite television schedule includes 11 conference contests, with several non-conference games expected to be added to the list. Eight regular-season conference matchups as well as the CAA Women's Basketball Championship semifinals and championship game will air on The Comcast Network, Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, Philadelphia and New England and CSS.

CAA TELEVISION PACKAGE HIGHLIGHTS:

A minimum of 42 exposures for CAA teams on the various ESPN platforms, including up to nine regular-season games on ESPN/ESPN2, 16 contests on ESPNU and ESPN Regional Television and the CAA Championship game on ESPN/ESPN2.
