Golf Team Tied for 17th

The Old Dominion men's golf team finished tied for 13th after the first round of the 2003 NCAA Tournament hosted by the Washington National Golf Club in Auburn, WA.
On the back nine of the second round the team is shooting 16 over par which has dropped them down to 17th. UCLA has finished two rounds and leads the tournament with a five-under 571 combined score. Arizona is nine strokes back at 580.
UCLA's John Merrick established a new course record for Washington National, shooting 67 during the second round.
Hazardous weather conditions has delayed the tournament several times puting some golfers, including ODU, about two hours behind schedule.
The tournament will conclude with a final round on Saturday with the top ten teams advancing to the NCAA Championships.
