MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Old Dominion men's tennis team fell to No. 35 Louisville, 4-2, in the Monarchs' second match at the National Blue/Gray Tournament. The Monarchs' freshman Rodrigo Souza (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) had a hand in both Old Dominion points earning a No. 5 singles win and teaming with senior Izak van der Merew (Kempton Park, South Africa) for a victory at No. 1 doubles.

Souza earned a straight set, 6-3, 6-4, win over the Cardinals' Nicolas Howard.

In doubles play, Old Dominion earned the point as Souza and van der Merwe picked up a hard-fought 9-8 win over #33 Jakob Gustafsson and Jeremy Clark at the No. 1 spot, while sophomores Nate Grover (Suffolk, Va.) and Henrique Cancado (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) posted an 8-6 decision over Tony Teufel and Damar Johnson at No. 3 doubles.
