The Old Dominion rowing team spent their spring break in Austin, Texas from March 9-15 for their annual spring training.
“Last week we travelled to Austin, Texas for spring training where at the end of the week we engaged in multiple racing scenarios with the University of Texas Longhorns,” explained Garbutt. “Competition was tight in all boat categories throughout the scrimmage. I look forward to seeing Texas again at our conference championships in May.”
Garbutt continued, “The team had a wonderful week of weather and training. The future of the team looks to be exciting. The trip overlapped with the music festival ‘South by South West’ so there was much to soak in throughout the week.”
