Josh Eldridge Selected To Coastal Plain All-Star Game

NORFOLK, VA-- ODU rising sophomore outfielder Josh Eldridge (Lorton, VA.) has been selected to the 14th annual Coastal Plain Summer League All-Star game scheduled for the Historic Fleming Stadium in Wilson, N.C. on Monday, July 23 at 7:05 p.m.

Eldridge is one of three Peninsula Pilots selected, and will play for the National All-Stars. The CAA All-Rookie League selection is currently hitting .289 with seven doubles, two triples and 19 RBI with a .366 on base percentage and has 11 stolen bases in 14 attempts. He is third on the team in hitting and leads the team in doubles and triples. Eldridge thus far has played in 43 games with 38 starts.

As a freshman, Eldridge led the Monarchs with a .299 batting average (He hit .316 in 30 CAA games).

Both the American and National teams each feature players from 12 CPL clubs, with the players being selected by head coaches and media representatives from all 14 CPL teams. Each roster has 27 active players on it.

The American CPL All-Stars will be the visitors, while the National CPL All-Stars will be the home team.
