ODU Swimming and Diving Set for CAA Championships

The Old Dominion swimming and diving team begins competition today in the Colonial Athletic Association Championships hosted by George Mason University. Both ODU squads finished seventh in last year's competition.
The Monarchs carry a 3-8 mark into this week's action while the women's team stands at 4-9. On Wednesday the diving teams will compete while swimming action will begin on Thursday and continuing through Saturday.
Senior Jamie D'Agostino (Ardsley, NY), the defending CAA Champion at in the 500 free and 1650 free, is a favorite in those events again. Junior Jessica Miller (Fairfax, VA) is the team leader in breast events and will to continue a strong 2002-03 campaign into the conference meet.
On the men's side, freshman Brian Julich (Sanford, NC) should lead the squad in free and fly sprint events. Fellow rookie Nate Tschohl (Chesapeake, VA) will look to turn heads in distance events such as the 1650 free and 200 fly.
Tickets for the CAA Championships will go on sale daily at 9:00 a.m. for trials and 5:00 p.m. for finals. Single session tickets will be sold for $7.00 each. All-session tickets are also available for $35.00.
