TAMPA, Fla. -- The #52 Old Dominion women's tennis team collected another upset victory over a team ranked higher than itself with a 5-2 victory over South Florida Thursday afternoon at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts. With the win, the Lady Monarchs have strung together a nine-game win streak and are currently 10-1 overall (1-1 CAA).

Old Dominion's two losses of the afternoon came at #4 and #6 singles. At #4, sophomore Mily Kannarkat (Virginia Beach, Va.) dropped her first match of the season (10-1). The Lady Monarchs claimed the doubles point, winning two of three matches and then went on to win five singles matches behind fourth-ranked freshman sensation Nataly Cahana (Qiriat Bialik, Israel). Cahana is now 11-0 in spring singles play.

The Lady Monarchs will host CAA rival Virginia Commonwealth on March 21 at the Old Dominion Tennis Complex.
