ST. LOUIS, MO-- ODU's Two-Time All-CAA pitcher Kyle Hald (Springfield, VA.) has signed with the ST. Louis Cardinals and will report to Johnson City in the Appalachian League. Hald was selected in the 18th round by the Cardinals.

Hald, the CAA Co-Pitcher of the Year compiled an 8-3 record with a 3.67 earned run average and for the second straight year he led the CAA in strikeouts with 108 in 95.2 innings, earning him a second straight first team All-CAA honor. The 6-0 Hald also averaged 10.13 strikeouts per nine innings which also was best in the CAA.
