Women's Soccer Travels to Campbell

NORFOLK, VA - Coming off a 3-1 win over Radford, the Old Dominion Women's Soccer team travels to Campbell to begin a four game stretch on the road. The Lady Monarchs face the Camels Monday night at Campbell University's Eakes Athletic Complex.
During exhibition Old Dominion won the Westfield Cup preseason soccer tournament, held in Akron, Ohio, topping no.19 University of Florida in the semis and Akron in the finals. In their season opener against Radford, the Lady Monarchs racked up two late goals to beat the Highlanders 3-1 at home.
Campbell enters the game after winning their season opener against Longwood 2-1. Both teams carry a 1-0-0 record overall.
In their last meeting in 2004, Old Dominion tied Campbell 1-1 at the Old Dominion Soccer Stadium. They hold a 3-1-2 record overall against the Camels. This game marks the start of a four game road stint. Following their visit to Buies Creek, NC., Old Dominion travels to Greensboro, NC. to take on Richmond September 2nd and UNC-Greensboro September 4th then makes the hop back to the Commonwealth to Lynchburg, VA. to vie for a win against Liberty. The Lady Monarchs next home game kicks off CAA conference play with a match against William and Mary, September 16th at 7pm.
