ODU Players Advance in Rolex National Indoor Tennis Championships

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas -- After the first day of competition at the Rolex National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships hosted by Southern Methodist University at the Brookhaven Country Club near Dallas, Old Dominion freshman Nataly Cahana (Qiriat Bialik, Israel) and junior Ana Radeljevic (Zagreb, Croatia) both advanced through Thursday's preliminary action to the second round of play.

Fourth-ranked Cahana advanced to the second round with a 6-4, 6-0 straight set opening round win over Andrea Pinski of Auburn. Cahana will take on Dee Dee Herring of the host school SMU Mustangs on Friday morning. The doubles tandem of Cahana and Radeljevic advanced with a 6-1, 6-1 first round win over Nevada?s Tjasa Jezernik and Biljana Trepska. In the quarterfinal round, Cahana/Radeljevic will face Petra Gaspar and Tagifano So?onalole of Brigham Young.
