The ODU Baseball Monarchs hit the road again for a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series against VCU. The games will be played at the Diamond beginning at 6 p.m. Friday evening.

On the mound, VCU's top three are Seth Cutler-Voltz (1-2/6.03 ERA), Kyle Haynes (3-3/4.06 ERA) and David Benson (1-1/2.46 ERA). Benson has 39 strikeouts in 30.2 innings of work. The Rams are fourth in the CAA in hitting at .304 and sixth in pitching at 4.57.

Junior firstbaseman Chris Baker ranks third in the CAA in homers with six, tied with teammate Josh Wright. Wright is third in the CAA with 11 stolen bases. Baker is tied for the CAA lead with Towson's Chris Wychock at 12 and tied with Georgia State's Ryan Fleming with 29 RBI.

Hald continues to lead the CAA in strikeouts with 51 in 43 innings of work, while Tomchick is fifth with 36. Senior reliever Adam Wisniewski leads the CAA in appearances (15) and saves (6).

ODU leads the series, 83-54. The two squads did not play each other last year because of the CAA's split schedule.
