ODU Swimming and Diving Hosts Radford, VMI Saturday in Tri Meet

NORFOLK, VA--The Old Dominion University swimming and diving squad is back in action on Saturday afternoon as they host VMI and Radford in a tri-meet at the J.C. "Scrap" Chandler swimming pool. The diving portion of the meet commences at 10:00 a.m., while swimming events begin at 1:00 p.m. Admission to the meet is free.
ODU men's swimming is off to a 1-0 start after swimming past Towson 136-81. The women dropped a 136-105 decision. Last season, the men's team defeated VMI 117-79 and the women were victorious over Radford 120-84. Nate Tschohl (Chesapeake, VA), Brian Julich (Sanford, NC), Michael DeNise (Midlothian, VA), and Tyler Haverty (Virginia Beach, VA) scored individual victories to lead the men's team in last season's meet. Amy Hoffman (Kennesaw, GA), Lauren Timby (Rochester, NY), Bonnie Brezinsky (Bethlehem, PA), and Liane Publow (Las Vegas, NV) took individual victories to help the women's cause in their win last year.
ODU swimming and diving returns to action Saturday in a pivotal road conference meet with Drexel. The squad returns home Friday November 4th as they host William & Mary on a conference meet.
