Women's Crew Races Alabama, Oklahoma

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The spring schedule continued on Saturday for the Old Dominion women's rowing team, hitting the Black Warrior River in Alabama with the Varsity 8 and Varsity 4 racing against host Alabama and Oklahoma.
The First Varsity 8+ boat finished in third place in a time of 6:57.7, with the Sooner's shell winning the race.
The Second Varsity+ also took third in its race clocking in 7:12.3 and Oklahoma once again taking first in the event.
The Varsity 4+ boat was also on the water on Saturday, taking fourth place with a finishing time of 8:07.9. Host Alabama took with top two spots in the race with their "A" and "B" boats.
The Old Dominion women's rowing team will return to the water next weekend when they race host Bucknell and Kansas in Lewisburg, Pa. on Saturday, April 10th. Other upcoming races for the Lady Monarchs include the Kerr Cup (April 17th), the Colonial Athletic Association Championships (April 25th), and the Dad Vail Regatta (May 7-8).
