Nataly Cahana-Fleishman is in her fourth season as an assistant coach at her alma mater Old Dominion University. In her first year she helped the Lady Monarchs place three members on the all-conference team, including the Colonial Athletic Association's (CAA) Co-Rookie of the Year, Nadine Fahoum.
Last season, she placed five Lady Monarchs on the all-conference team, including two of the three First-Team Doubles squads, including the Co-Player of the year in Fahoum, who was ranked as high as No. 13 nationally during the year. Fahoum and Joanna Dobrowolska advanced to the NCAA Championships in doubles while Fahoum made the NCAA's in singles as well.
During the 2008-09 season, she helped lead the Lady Monarchs to a No. 55 national ranking. The doubles team of Nadine Fahoum and Charleen Haarhoff won the ITA East Regional and were ranked No. 29 in the country in doubles and reached the second round of the NCAA Championships. Haarhoff was ranked during the season in singles play. Cahana-Fleishman helped leads the Lady Monarchs to the semifinals of the CAA Tournament for the third-consecutive year.
During her time as a student-athlete at ODU, Cahana-Fleishman was among the nation's best players even as a freshman. In her first year as a Monarch (2001) she was named the CAA Player of the Year, Tournament MVP, Rookie of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She would continue that dominance throughout her career as she made four consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament, while also capturing four CAA Player of the Year awards. In addition, Cahana-Fleishman was not only a two-time All-American on the court, but also a three-time Academic All-American. Once ranked as high as No. 4 in the country, she still sits atop ODU's record books with 231 total wins and 144 singles victories.
Nataly and her husband Seth have a daughter, Shira, and a son, Matan.
