ODU Infield Camp Changed To December 4th

Paul Bottigliero begins his first season on the Monarchs staff as a volunteer assistant coach.

Bottigliero, a firstbaseman at Monmouth University set a single season home run record with 17 and earned All Northeast Conference honors. He helped lead Monmouth to the 2009 Northeast Conference championship and advanced to the Oxford Mississippi Regional. Monmouth also won the 2008 NEC regular season title.

Bottigliero knocked in a team best 58 runs with a .631 slugging percentage in 2008 as a junior, where he ranked fourth on the team with a .313 batting average which ranked 16th in the NEC.

Prior to coming to Monmouth, Bottigliero ranked 10th nationally in home runs with 16 in 2005 while at Garden City Community College (Kansas). He twice helped lead the Broncbusters to the Region 6 finals.

Bottigliero was a two-time All-State selection at Jonathan Law High School in Milford, CT and was a three-time All-Area New Haven Register and Connecticut Post as well as All-South West Conference selection. As a senior in 2004 he was the South West Conference Player of the Year.

Pottigliero graduated from Monmouth University in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree of Health Studies.He is the son of James and Maryann Bottigliero.
