Josh Eldridge To Play In The Cape Cod League

NORFOLK, VA--ODU sophomore outfielder Josh Eldridge (Lorton, VA.) will play in the Cape Cod Summer League and heads a list of 12 Monarchs who will be playing in five different leagues this summer.

All-CAA outfielder Ben Verlander (Maidens, VA.) along with CAA All-Rookie selections; infielder PJ Higgins (Wallingford, CT.), righthander Tommy Alexander (Forty Fort, PA.) and centerfielder Connor Myers (Middletown, MD.) will also be competing this summer.

Eldridge will play for the Chatham Anglers who begin play June 12th. He is the first Monarchs since Dan Hudson ('08),of the Arizona Diamondbacks to play in the Cape.

Verlander is be playing for the Staunton Braves in the Valley League, while PJ Higgins is playing for the Lehigh Valley Catz in the ACBL, Connor Myers is with the Peninsula Pilots in the Coastal Plains League and Tommy Alexander is playing for the Elmira Pioneers in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.
