STILLWATER, Okla. - A pair of Old Dominion University wrestling standouts found success in representing the United States on the mat over the weekend on the campus of Oklahoma State University.

Rising redshirt freshman Kevin Beazley (Howell, Mich.) won the 2013 Greco-Roman International Wrestling Federation (FILA) Junior World Team Trials at his weight class of 96 kg (211 pounds). He now moves on to represent the United States at the Junior World Championships in August that take place in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Volunteer assistant coach Kyle Hutter (Mokena, Ill.) finished fourth on the ladder for the United States national team at 55 kg (121 pounds). Seeded 10th at the event, he pulled multiple upsets over the weekend including that of former Penn State All-American Mark McKnight, seventh-seeded and former Kent State All-American Dan Mitcheff and second-seeded and former three-time All-American Brandon Precin from Northwestern. Hutter finished ahead of a loaded field that also included former All-Americans in Minnesota's Zach Sanders, Cornell's Frank Perrelli and Utah Valley's Ben Kjar.

"Huge accomplishments over the past weekend for both Kevin and Kyle," said ODU head coach Steve Martin. "Hutter put himself in a position to contend for the U.S. World Team in 2014 after really surprising a lot of guys at this tournament. Beazley is the first wrestler to represent Old Dominion at the Junior World Championships since I have been here. Getting to compete on the international level against the type of competition he is going to face is really going to help him come back to ODU and be able to wrestle collegiately at the highest level."
