ODUSports.com Q&A with Jakwail Bailey - Wide Receiver - Haddonfield, N.J.
Why Old Dominion? I picked ODU because I liked the spread offense and coach Wilder was a big part of my decision.
Talk about what you like about the Hampton Roads area? It’s a great place to be, down here it’s a new type of environment. The beach, everything around here is a great place to be.
What got you started in football? I would play with my older brother and I wasn’t that good, so they worked with me. A friend of mine would throw the ball really hard at me and that’s how I learned to catch.
What’s on your iPod? Rap and R&B. Rick Ross and Meek Mill.
What are you looking forward to with the move to FBS and Conference USA? I think the exciting part is the competition. Last year we played some good competition but now we need to step our game up another level to compete.
What is it like playing in front of a sold out Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium? It’s exciting to run out in front of the fans. It’s amazing, there is nothing else like it.
Something most people don’t know about me? I like to laugh and have fun off the field.
What is your major? Accounting. I plan on being a certified public accountant.
