ODU Takes On Former Conference Foe, GMU Sat. Night
Fairfax, Va. – The Old Dominion University women’s soccer team will take on former conference foe, George Mason on Saturday, September 14, at 7 p.m. at the George Mason Stadium.
The Lady Monarchs enter Saturday night’s match seeking their first victory of the young 2013 season. Despite their current 0-5-0 record, ODU has been mighty competitive all season. In fact, the young Old Dominion squad has lost three of those five games by one goal. Most recently, ODU fell 2-1 at the hands of George Washington last Friday night at the ODU Soccer Complex.
The Patriots bring a 1-3-1 overall record into the showdown with the Lady Monarchs on Saturday night. GMU is on a two game skid, as they most recently lost to St. Francis and American. Mason’s sole victory of the season came against North Florida. George Mason opened their regular season with a 1-1 draw against William and Mary and a 3-0 loss to No. 15 Maryland.
