Kevin Beazley Wins Junior Greco Roman National Championship

NORFOLK, Va. - ODU Wrestler Kevin Beazley won the Junior Greco Roman National Championship at 211 lbs. with a fall in the finals on Thursday.
Beazley, a redshirt freshman, dominated the competition with three tech falls by scores of 10-2, 8-0 and 8-0 and a fall over Nash (Utah) to win the Greco Roman National Championship at 211 pounds from the Las Vegas Convention Center. Beazley will represent the United States at the Junior Worlds this summer.
On Friday afternoon Beazley also advanced to the quarterfinals of the Fila Junior Freestyle Nationals. 145 lb. sophomore Alexander Richardson and 154-pound true freshman Austin Eads remain alive in the U.S. Open bracket from Las Vegas and former Monarch wrestler James Nicholson (125) advanced to the All-American round in the U.S. Senior Open.
ODU signed two wrestlers in the late signing period for the 2014-15 season. Joshua Markham of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Riley McClurg of Indianapolis, Indiana are signed to compete for the ODU Monarchs in the 2014-15 season.
