Rachelle Bowman Joins ODU’s Athletic Training Staff
NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University Athletic Director, Dr. Wood Selig, announced today the addition of Rachelle Bowman to the Athletic Training staff.
Bowman comes to ODU after serving as an assistant athletic trainer for eight years at Methodist University in North Carolina. Prior to that, she was an assistant athletic trainer at Montreat College from 2004-2006.
Before joining athletics she was a rehabilitation assistant at the Toccoa Clinic Medical Associates from 2002-2004, and an intern at the Samaritan Garden Health Clinic from 2001-2002.
Bowman is a certified athletic trainer and corrective exercise specialist. She received a Bachelor of Science in sports medicine from Palm Beach Atlantic University in April of 2002. She received a Master’s of Science degree in exercise science and health promotion from California University of Pennsylvania in August 2012. Throughout her career she has worked in a variety of settings, including a physical therapy clinic, orthopedics office, NAIA, Division III and high school settings.
