CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Old Dominion women’s rowing finished in the top ten teams competing in the Women’s Club Eights race at the 52nd annual Head of the Charles regatta Saturday in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The Lady Monarchs finished 10th of 39 teams with a time of 17:38.665 and averaged 4:34.667 minutes between each split. The Silver and Blue beat out teams from Miami, Boston University, Dartmouth, Alabama, UMASS and Temple.

Battling through the dreadful conditions, Old Dominion secured their entry for next year’s HOC race, the largest head race in the country.

Competing for the Monarchs in the women’s club eights were Raven Woody, Sabrina Paulsen, Erin Welsh, Courtney Moore, Monica Jory, Kennedy Stephan, Shannon LaSala and Taylor Phy with Monique McNealy as the boat’s coxswain.
