“Coach Bickford and I are thrilled that Louie has chosen to join the Monarch family,” said Manilla. “We established a great relationship with Louie and her family throughout the recruiting process and feel strongly that Louie embodies the intangible qualities required to be a successful, contributing member of our program. She has a reputation of being a "fighter" and someone that competes every time she steps on the court. We are excited to welcome Louie next Fall.”

Off the court, McLelland most recently earned a 4.0 GPA as a student. She has competed at the international level since the age of 14 and was ranked No. 1 in all of the United Kingdom for the under-16, as well as under-18 age divisions. She won the U-18 Scottish Indoor Nationals and was the Scottish National Outdoors champion for U-16 and U-18. In 2015, McLelland won a silver medal while representing Scotland in the Junior Commonwealth Games. She currently trains at the Bath International High Performance Centre in England.
