Sunday Dog Days Set for Soccer, Field Hockey
By ODU Athletics
NORFOLK, Va. -- Sundays are now “Dog Days” at all home matches this year for Old Dominion men’s and women’s soccer and field hockey.
Following the success of ODU Baseball’s Bark in the Park the past four seasons and ODU Soccer's Pups on the Pitch, fans have requested more opportunities to bring their pets to outdoor athletic events.
The Sunday Dog Days promotion will allow fans to bring their dogs, on a leash, to any soccer or field hockey game that takes place on a Sunday. There is no charge for bringing a dog.
During soccer games, dogs will be allowed on the grass area on the south and east sides of the ODU Soccer Complex. For field hockey, fans can utilize the grass area near the concession stand. In addition, ODU Athletics will set up bowls of water around each facility to make sure your pets stay hydrated during the sporting event.
Overall, there will be a total of 10 games this fall where fans can take advantage of this opportunity. See the complete schedule below.
