Monarchs Defeat New Mexico in C-USA Finale, 1-0

NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men’s soccer team (9-5-2, 6-2-0 C-USA) topped New Mexico (8-5-4, 3-3-2 C-USA) in their regular season finale on Friday night at the ODU Soccer Complex, 1-0.

Scoring began in the sixth minute by ODU from Sebastien Hauret assisted by Hans Kroschwitz. Hauret tallied his fourth goal of the season on Friday night against New Mexico and the lone goal for the game. 

Max Wilschrey took five shots on the Lobos, while Hauret and Tom Wustenberg took three shots respectively. 

Old Dominion outshot the Lobos, 16-10. The Monarchs also took five corner kicks and the Lobos took two. 

Both goalkeepers notched three saves a piece.

The Monarchs host the C-USA Tournament and will be playing at 7PM on Wednesday night at the ODU Soccer Complex, their opponent has not been determined yet. Follow ODU men's soccer on social media to find out who the Monarchs face Wednesday night.
