No. 35 ODU Goes 3-0 for Weekend Against C-USA Opponents After 4-1 Win Over Charlotte

By ODU Athletics

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The No. 35 Old Dominion men’s tennis team (13-6) defeated Charlotte by a 4-1 score on Sunday. The Monarchs are now 3-0 against Conference USA opponents so far this season.

“We had a great weekend here,” said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “I’m very pleased with our singles performance. Not losing one singles point against good competition told me a lot about this team. They continue to stay hungry and that’s great to see this late in the season. We will take advantage off almost two weeks off of competition to recover and work on things we can do better."

The Tennis Monarchs have now claimed victory in seven of their last eight matches, while outscoring their opponents 32-11 during that stretch.

Old Dominion will be back in action on Friday, March 30, when ODU travels to Richmond for a 2:00 start against VCU.
