ODU Tops American in Quad Meet at George Mason

FAIRFAX, Va. - Old Dominion University men's and women's swimming and diving defeated American University Saturday morning in a quad meet along with Army and George Mason. The Monarchs fell to George Mason and Army.

Jacklyn VandePoel gave the Monarchs their first win of the day with a triumph in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:03.69. She added her second win of the day, this one in the 500 freestyle in a time of 5:05.23.

Emilie Petit won the 400 IM in 4:31.84 and finished second in the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:23.37.

Nick Wukovits earned the first men's win of the day with a 4:12.41 in the 400 IM.
