Men's Soccer Defeated by Marshall, 4-1

NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion (1-5-1, 0-2-1 C-USA) men's soccer team fell to Marshall (RV), 4-1 on Friday night. Sebastien Hauret knocked in ODU's goal in the 80th minute. 

The Thundering Herd (6-1-1, 2-0-0 C-USA) got off to a hot start with a goal in the first minute of play. In the 15th minute, Marshall saw the back of the goal again. Heading into halftime, Marshall took a 2-0 lead. 

ODU took offensive control for most of the second half, owning a 10-2 advantage in shots. The Monarchs closed in on the Marshall lead with a Hauret goal with 10 minutes to play in regulation. Danny Durkin was credited with the assist. 

The Herd answered in the 83rd and 85th minutes to notch their sixth win of the season. 

Djibril Doumbia made three saves in goal. ODU took seven corner kicks to Marshall's one.
