John begins his fourth season on the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant working with the goalkeepers. Career at ODU: Helped lead the Monarchs to the 2004 and 05 NCAA College Cup...Compiled a 0.67 goals against average along with 11 shutouts in 2005...Earned All-CAA honors in 2005. Career: 2004: Started all 21 games, stopping 69% of the shots he faced...Posted 8 shutouts along with a 1.07 goals against average...Earned a shutout in the finals of the Stihl Classic vs. Rutgers...Gave up only 1 goal during the first 4 games of the season... 2003: Played in ODU's 6-0 victory over Longwood in the Stihl Soccer Classic...2002: Made three starts with 16 saves ... Stopped 69% of the shots he faced with a 2.33 goals against average ... Tallied a career high nine saves at home against #22 Wake Forest in September ... 2001: After red-shirting John followed in the footsteps of his older brother Chuck, who was a standout goalie with the Monarchs in the late `90's.
