ODU Football Camp Report - Aug. 16
Aug. 16, 2008
Norfolk, Va. – Day three of the Old Dominion University preseason football camp saw the players dawn their shoulder pads for the first time and as a result practice became a little more physical.
Wide receivers worked on their stalk blocking against the defensive backs, and the running backs got their introduction to pass protection during a session where they battled rushing linebackers.
Period 16 of the 24 period session marked the first 7-of-7 drill of camp with both the offensive and defensive units having their moments.
Practice #4 is tomorrow at 9 a.m. and players will again be in helmets and shoulder pads.
A reminder that due to safety concerns ODU football practices are CLOSED to the public. Fans will have the opportunity to see the Monarch football team during one of the three scrimmages this fall.
