Old Dominion Heads to America Trophy in New York

NORFOLK, Va. – The No. 14 Old Dominion University coed sailing team will head to Geneva, N.Y. this weekend and the America Trophy Conference Championship Race in search of qualifying for the NCAA national championship semifinals.
The top eight teams at this weekend’s race, hosted by Hobart and William Smith, automatically qualify for the national semifinals. Last year, ODU placed fifth at the event and qualified for the NCAA event. Last weekend in the MAISA Team Race Championships/Prosser Trophy, Old Dominion fell just short of qualifying as they tied for fifth. The final four teams in last weekend’s conference event each qualified for the NCAA’s.
Also taking part this weekend are the Lady Monarchs in the Emily Wick Women’s Intersectional going on in New London, Conn.
