COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: Logos, Lights, And More...

NORFOLK,Va. -- Construction at Foreman Field continues this week with work continuing on the stadium's AstroTurf GameDay Grass 3D, including logos on the field, the south side goal post, continuing work on the clamshell's bleachers, as well as renovations to the north end zone bleachers and stadium lights.
On the turf, crews are putting filling in Astroturf's GameDay Grass 3D with rubber infill. The all-rubber infill system is composed of highly durable cryogenic rubber to mimic the best natural playing systems. Additionally, at the 50, ODU's primary athletic logo as been added, as well as "Monarchs" to both the north and south end zones. Also added are the "CAA" logos as Old Dominion the will join the Colonial Athletic Association, one of the nation's premier NCAA Division I Football Championship conferences, in 2011.
Seating installation continues on the east and west sidelines as bleachers are installed. Also renovation of the north end zone seating was started.
Another project started this week includes the renovation of Foreman Field's lighting.
