Nate Grover And Family Win 2004 United States Tennis Association Virginia Family of the Year

Sophomore Nate Grover, a member of the Old Dominion men's tennis program, and his family from Suffolk were recently was presented the United States Tennis Association-Virginia Family of the Year Award at the Annual banquet held at Westwood Country Club in Richmond Virginia.

The Grover family lives and breathes tennis;

Michelle is a division one tennis scholarship player for the James Madison University women's tennis team and has served as under-graduate and graduate assistant coach while completing her graduate degree- Michelle is also a certified tennis referee and was sponsored by Prince Sports.

Nathaniel is on a division one men's tennis scholarship at Old Dominion University and is currently ranked number twenty six in division one men's Intercollegiate Tennis Association doubles ranking with partner Izak van der Merwe.

Youngest brother Barton has been ranked nationally as high as #118 in the nation in 2001, #142 in 2002 and #272 in 2003 and is on the Prince Sports team.

Mother Jan is a USPTA professional sponsored by Prince Sports and is currently writing for the USTA-VA. Tennis Website while serving as USTA-VA. Tennis Communication Chair.

Father Lee is playing tennis in USTA Virginia Beach "Raptors" senior leagues which recently won the National Championship in California, as well as his World Team Tennis "Beach Nuts" team recently won the National Qualifier World Team Tennis in Florida qualifying his team to compete in California this month.
