Srugo, Seleznev Selected For NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- The NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Subcommittee has selected the 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams that will compete in the 2006 NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships, which include CAA Co-Player of the Year Harel Srugo (Kibutz Gazit, Israel) and freshman Aleksandr Seleznev (Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic).
Srugo, who was also the CAA Tournament most outstanding player, will be one of 64 men's tennis student-athletes vying for the 2006 singles title. Srugo enters the tournament ranked 23rd in country with a 26-6 overall mark.
Srugo will join doubles partner Seleznev as one of 32 doubles teams playing for the national title. The duo, ranked 43rd in the latest ITA Poll, enter tournament action with a 18-3.
The singles and doubles competition will be conducted May 24-29 at the Taube Tennis Center in Stanford, California, following the conclusion of the team championship (May 20-23).
