Field Hockey Blanks New Hampshire, 5-0

STORRS, Conn. - (Oct. 10) The defending national champion Old Dominion field hockey team topped #17 New Hampshire, 5-0, Sunday afternoon at the University of Connecticut. The #6 Lady Monarchs improve to 10-4 overall (4-0 CAA) while the Wildcats fall to 8-4 overall (3-0 America East).

Old Dominion was led by junior midfielder Marina DiGiacomo (Mendoza, Argentina) who netted three goals and an assist on the afternoon. Senior tri-captain Ashleigh Miller (West Vancouver, BC, Canada) chipped in with two assists.

The Lady Monarchs will remain on the road this coming weekend for a pair of games against Temple (Saturday) and Maryland (Sunday).
